Jim served 33 years in the MPS. He was at the Brixton riots, Wapping print dispute, Miners Strike and the Broadwater Farm riot. As a DC he worked on covert Eastern European organised crime investigations. He was an advanced informant handler and Jim also served on Op Trident and the Homicide Command.
As a uniform PS he led a team of very junior PCs and PCSOs during the 2011 riots, 2012 Olympics and multiple other major public events.

Joined Cumbria Fingerprint Bureau in 2003, becoming a qualified Fingerprint Expert in 2006 before retiring in November 2020. Extensive experience in day-to-day processes of a small bureau, mainly on volume crime; occasionally on large drugs and murder cases. Experience of lifting prints from cadavers in the mortuary. First-hand experience of gaining UKAS accreditation for the Bureau.

Stephen served from 1966 to 1980. He was a pioneering undercover cop. From 1997 to 2011 he was a barrister who practised criminal law mainly defending in jury trials.

He is also an occasional contributor to Huffington Post UK on mental health and undercover policing and he writes crime fiction including his Steve Regan Undercover Cop and Detective Matt Deal thrillers series.

Mike joined Sussex Police as a Cadet in 1968 retiring as an Inspector in 2000, having served on the helicopter unit and later specialising in community safety. He went on to become Head of the Parks Police in Kensington & Chelsea. He is a researcher and specialist in UK police history and organisation, uniforms, badges, heraldry and insignia as well as the interface between policing and local government.

Michael has 31 years of policing experience, with a career emphasis on public order policing.
