She is skilled in Law Enforcement and offers a unique perspective of modern policing in the USA.

Sav has a combined police and military career of over 30 years. This included overseas operational tours as a senior investigator with the RMP Specialist Investigation Branch, whilst his MPS service saw him working in covert and proactive roles and leading teams in SCO8 Gangs Command, SO15 Counter Terrorism Command and overseas with the FCO.

Tony has over 20 years’ experience of dealing with serious and complex crime issues. He has a vast knowledge of criminal law and police procedures. His areas of expertise include child abuse investigations, serious and volume crime investigation/supervision, tackling violence, acquisitive, and drug related harm within communities.

A retired senior police officer having served in Strathclyde and laterally Police Scotland for 30 years. James is the Principal Lecturer at Robert Gordon University (RGU), Aberdeen. James has significant experience in paramedicine and the education of practitioners. James has worked at several institutions, providing education, leadership, and teaching practitioners across the UK and internationally. He is an Expert Witness providing medico-legal opinion in paramedic and prehospital practice in civil and criminal litigation.

Former Deputy Director

Over 45 years experience in Law Enforcement in the UK and overseas including as a Senior Manager responsible for Border Control and Anti Smuggling Teams across the South East. Since 2018 David has been the Senior Responsible Manager for providing the investigation response to the Small Boats threat in the South East, leading several joint criminal investigations with International Law Enforcement partners.

Serving Officer

Ten years military police for the U.S Air Force and twenty years civilian law enforcement experience in Orange County, California. Experience in patrol and all aspects connected, internet crimes against children, sex offender management and auto theft  Well versed in interrogation tactics. Served in undercover capacity. Knowledgeable of narcotics use and sales. 

Ex-Detective Constable

Robert served with Thames Valley Police (TVP) from 1985-2010. He was involved in numerous major crime investigations including murder, rape, GBH, drugs importation and supply, blackmail and people trafficking.

He is a specialist interviewer and was responsible for training SIOs in this area. Since retiring he has worked for TVP creating the Investigation Module of both their PCDA and DHEP courses.

Gary is an ex-Greater Manchester Police officer who served as a neighbourhood police officer, a response police officer and a detective investigating serious crime ranging from aggravated burglaries to shootings. He also worked in child protection and investigated honour based violence. He is also experienced at policing public order situations including football fixtures.

Kirsten served as a response officer for the British Transport Police and Met Police in London until 2019. She then became a detective specialising as a SOIT officer supporting adult and child victims of sexual violence, domestic abuse, honour-based violence and modern slavery from interview through to court. She latterly worked as an investigator working on national and international child abuse and exploitation investigations for the civil service.

Reed retired from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office after nearly 18 years where he ended his career as a Detective. A vast experience on local, regional, and federal cases. Reed has experience as a trainer, street cop, Detective, and Executive Board member for the police union. Reed has consulted with Amazon Bestsellers and brings a unique blend of skills that cover a wide variety of Law Enforcement Divisions and Units. 

Intelligence Analyst

Stuart is an expert in interpreting and using Intelligence. He has been in over 400 Homicide fast time investigations and over 200 intelligence led operations. Stuart has been involved in the analysis, investigation and detection of all facets of criminal activity which lead up to formations of OCG’s and the serious crimes that are connected with this type of criminal enterprise.

Ex-Detective Sergeant

Todd served with two South Florida police agencies over his 25 year career. A Sergeant for 16 years, he created and supervised his department’s Field Training Program, oversaw Traffic Operations and Traffic Homicide Investigations, and for nearly a decade, supervised the Criminal Investigations unit consisting of Detectives, Crime Scene Investigators, and Property & Evidence.

Paul served in the Metropolitan Police in the Special Branch and SO15 CTC. He was posted at Heathrow Airport, NSY and other central London locations. Paul is vastly experienced in handling, developing and operational use of high-grade intelligence, the development and handling of CHIS, thematic and academic expertise on Iranian state terrorism. He also worked as a CT analyst in the NATO Intelligence Fusion Centre for several years. 

Ex-Detective Sergeant

Stuart served with Northamptonshire Police, National Crime Squad (NCS), and the National Police Improvement Agency. With the NCS he managed teams in the Operations, Intelligence and Covert Human Intelligence fields. He worked on a national project to produce best practice in the use and management of Money Laundering legislation. After retiring from the Police, he worked for Barclays Bank, managing their Fraud Operations and Intelligence teams. 

Ex-Police Sergeant

Jim served 33 years in the MPS. He was at the Brixton riots, Wapping print dispute, Miners Strike and the Broadwater Farm riot. As a DC he worked on covert Eastern European organised crime investigations. He was an advanced informant handler and Jim also served on Op Trident and the Homicide Command.

As a uniform PS he led a team of very junior PCs and PCSOs during the 2011 riots, 2012 Olympics and multiple other major public events.

Retired Fingerprint Expert

Joined Cumbria Fingerprint Bureau in 2003, becoming a qualified Fingerprint Expert in 2006 before retiring in November 2020.  Extensive experience in day-to-day processes of a small bureau, mainly on volume crime; occasionally on large drugs and murder cases. Experience of lifting prints from cadavers in the mortuary. First-hand experience of gaining UKAS accreditation for the Bureau.

T/Detective Inspector

Over 22 years experience in all remits of Policing in Kent.  Focussing on performance and culture improvements in a series of 6 Policing remits as a Detective Inspector.  Policing with partner agencies such as the CPS, Social Services, Mental Health, NHS, Probation, HM Prisons, safeguarding boards.  He has also worked alongside Professional Standards and the IOPC in the investigation of corruption.

Andrew served in the York Regional Police (North of Toronto) between 1990 and 2024. Being very experienced he was involved with the deployment of CEW for person in crisis who was going to end their life. He conducted high level/high risk multi jurisdictional Organized Crime Search Warrants and organized and facilitated several internal and external investigations. Andrew is experienced in surveillance and controlled deliveries.

Former PC/DC/Paramedic

Al’s service has seen him involved public order, training and Special Branch/SO1 specialist protection. He also operationally supported close protection deployments to HRLI environments abroad. He served for a year in Bosnia as a police officer, working with the UN. Al is also a paramedic, registered nurse and is a coastal rescue officer with HM Coastguard on the north Norfolk coast.

Jason served mainly with forces based in the Midlands and has extensive experience of dealing with serious crime from SIO level downwards. He has spent time in SOCA and the College of Policing. He is a Hostage Negotiator and has led murder investigations and enquiries into Organised Crime.

An experienced investigator, having the unique experience of spending over 17 years on Homicide teams, performing at all ranks within a Homicide investigation from DC, DS, DI and DCI. Karen's colourful police career as a Detective included specialist roles within Witness Protection, Surveillance, Close Protection and Counter Terrorism. She worked on many high-profile Terrorism investigations on the Terrorism Command. She is a trained Armed Close Protection Officer and has protected various high-profile Members of Parliament including the then Deputy Prime Minister Nicholas Clegg.

Lisa spent over two decades within Kent's CID. In the Major Crime Department, she has worked on numerous murders, sexual offences and kidnaps. Her roles have included Disclosure Officer on a large-scale historic child sexual abuse investigation, Officer in the Case on murders, arsons and rapes, interviewing murder suspects and all manner of other enquiries. Lisa is a published crime writer.

Colin is an experienced detective working for Thames Valley Police and the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit. A surveillance officer for 15 years, and recently managing undercover operations and investigations in relation to sexual offences committed on line.

Nationally recognised for excellence in the field the investigations and convictions for paedophiles and sexual offences involving children.

Dan served 10 years with GMP in response, neighbourhood and intelligence roles. Dan offers a strong understanding of front-line policing, culture and community/public interaction. He has also acquired a strong knowledge of intelligence policing, from rating and acting on intelligence to developing to operational action. This also includes the use of intelligence in trials and post-conviction.

Robert served with the City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department, Florida. He is a vastly experienced former officer who was a member of SWAT and a Hostage Negotiator. His career also included being an undercover narcotics detective and Field Training Officer. Robert has also appeared as a actor in a number of non-speaking roles.

Sally served for over 12 years, latterly in a busy East Midlands City Centre CID. Thereafter, she trained as a barrister and was called to the bar at Lincoln's Inn in 1999. Initially, working freelance as an advisor to detainees in police stations, she transferred her qualification to that of solicitor and worked for the Crown Prosecution Service until 2014. Now retired she hosts a true crime podcast.

Former Detective

Mark served with the MPS as a Special Branch Officer and with the FCO. On leaving the police he worked at the International Criminal Court in the Hague. He can offer advice on Airport Policing, terrorist CHIS management, terrorist financing, war crimes investigations and FCDO interactions.

A former MPS senior police officer with over 30 years of experience in public safety and law enforcement. Extensive knowledge in strategic leadership and management, learning and development, change management and police assessment. 

Detective & Deputized US Marshall

Over 15 years experience in the Milwaukee area working on a variety of units including anti-gangs, child sex crimes and human trafficking. In 2022 Brendan began working on an FBI Task Force targeting the most violent offenders in the city. He has extensive courtroom experience and can offer advice on everything from street lingo to federal investigations.

Ed served in the Kaufman, Texas Police Department for his entire career in every aspect of the department with the majority spent working in Criminal Investigations as a Detective. He finished his time as Captain of the division and has extensive experience of smaller police departments, those with 25-30 officers or less. He was awarded the department’s Medal of Valor, and was named Officer of the Year three times during his career. He is also a published author.

Serving Detective Sergeant

As a young person Martyn was involved with a low level street gang. In later life he joined the police and became a Detective working on a busy London Borough where he proactively investigated gang crimes. He has spent time in the US where he has completed gangs training and patrolled with gang enforcement units. He holds a US title of Certified Basic Gang Specialist and now teaches professionals on gangs and exploitation.

Now retired Theo was a specialist surveillance officer for Special Branch and SO15. He was also a Counter Terrorism Intelligence Officer for SO15. His last 5 years were served at Heathrow Airport for SO15. He offers extensive knowledge and experience in intelligence work and surveillance operations.

Ex-Detective Sergeant

Stephen served from 1966 to 1980. He was a pioneering undercover cop. From 1997 to 2011 he was a barrister who practised criminal law mainly defending in jury trials. 

He wrote about his undercover Operation Julie days in a soon to be published book by Ebury Press. He is also an occasional contributor to Huffington Post UK on mental health and undercover policing and he writes crime fiction including his Steve Regan Undercover Cop and Detective Matt Deal thrillers series.

Ex-Inspector

Mike joined Sussex Police as a Cadet in 1968 retiring as an Inspector in 2000, having served on the helicopter unit and later specialising in community safety. He went on to become Head of the Parks Police in Kensington & Chelsea. He is a researcher and specialist in UK police history and organisation, uniforms, badges, heraldry and insignia as well as the interface between policing and local government.  

Ex-Chief Inspector

Michael has 31 years of policing experience, with a career emphasis on public order policing.  During his career he was a PSU public order officer for 29 continuous years, at ranks from Constable to Chief Inspector, which involved policing serious disorder, major incidents and security related events.

Ex-Police Constable

Martin joined the MPS dive team in 2002. He has completed over 2000 dives, become a specialist search advisor in diving and confined spaces. He has become a senior dive equipment technician, HSE diving supervisor and established a team for the forensic removal of tree and undergrowth. 

He retired from the Police in 2019.

Former Sergeant

Andy Ezzo served for 28 years with the Cleveland Division of Police, Ohio. He retired in 2022. He was assigned the Director of the Property Crime Task Force and officer in charge of the Environmental Crimes Task Force. Andy is a SME (subject matter expert) in Ohio scrap and environmental laws and conducted RICO investigations at the State level.

Sheena served as a police officer with both Surrey and the City of London Police until 2019. She specialised in CID, Source Handling, Sexual Offences and Training. 

Having left the police Sheena is currently working abroad, training police officers in various roles and ranks.

Rossa spent ten years in British Military Intelligence, working on everything from right-wing extremist infiltration of the army to Islamic terrorist plots.. His career included deployments to Afghanistan, attachment with UK Special Forces and liaison with national intelligence agencies such as MI5, SIS, GCHQ, CIA and DIA.

Recently retired from Louisiana State Police. Stacey has extensive experience in complex, victim-centric missing, abducted, and exploited children investigations and crimes against children investigations. Stacey is a Technical Advisor and provided police procedural advice to crime thriller writer, Chris Mooney.

Harry retired from Devon & Cornwall Police. His specialism lies in firearms and traffic being an Armed Response Officer, Pursuit Tactics Advisor and an SIO in relation to Fatal Road Traffic Investigations. With experience of Armed Protection of the Royal Family he has a vast amount of knowledge. Harry is also a published author and his first book was released in May 2020.

Teresa is based in Jacksonville, Florida. She has a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice Administration and is well versed in research and fact finding. Teresa offers the writer a means to obtain all their research needs for their next or ongoing project in a concise professional format.

Researcher, Lecturer and Consultant 

Specialising in cyber and organised crime Chris created the U BATTLE toolkit, an investigative strategy development tool that began in 2018 and since then has gained national and international recognition. He has extensive experience in how cyber and organised crime operates offering advice on vulnerabilities of numerous groups involved in a variety of serious crimes.

Beverley worked for Lincolnshire Police for over 12 years as a CSI. She has experience of infield investigation of crime scenes including volume crime and major & serious crime including murders, rapes, arson, cannabis cultivation, firearms and infant deaths. An expert on post mortems (PMs) Beverley offers a unique perspective into the role of a modern crime scene investigator.

Andy served for 28yrs with Staffordshire Police. He has extensive policing experience both as a traffic officer and as a custody sergeant. He identified the vulnerability of neurodiverse people in the CJS and devised the 1st police autism strategy in the UK. Being an autistic police officer and custody expert he recently published ‘Autism and the Police’

He worked as a deep Undercover Office for 15 years in the guise of an HGV driver, multi kilo drug dealer, and corrupt Police Officer to name but a few. He was deployed to work with MI5, HMRC  and other Police Forces within the UK, Europe and the USA.

Veronica has over 25 years experience within the Counter Terrorism and Serious Crime environment. She has been deployed as an Undercover Officer, both nationally and internationally, working with other agencies and overseas covert units dealing with cases such as contract killings and high value frauds. Veronica currently delivers counter terrorism training to foreign agencies.

Gary was a BCU Commander in Dyfed Powys Police. Gary was an SIO with experience of leading major crime investigations and also in writing force policies and procedure within the public protection arena. He was also the All Wales lead on Safeguarding Children.

Mark spent 30 years with West Yorkshire Police. He specialised in undercover policing and covert operations around serious and organised crime. He spent a number of years within the Counter Terrorism network and lastly as Head of Safeguarding of which he is a subject matter expert in this field.

A DCI who specialized in the murky world of informants and assisting offenders.  He provides a wide array of experience within the informant world operating as a handler, controller and authorising officer.  

His operational experience covers Force, cross border, Counter terrorism and serious organised crime arenas. 

Serving Officer

Bradley serves with the Las Vegas Police. He has worked as a Patrol Officer, Bicycle Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, and Detective. Working in the Repeat Offender Program (ROP) focused on catching the criminals committing serious felonies he led investigations that resulted in over 340 defendants being sentenced as Habitual Criminals and 80 received life sentences. Bradley is a published author and filmmaker.

911 Call Operator

James works within the Egg Harbour Township Police Department (EHTPD), New Jersey. He has 25 years experience of dealing with 911 emergency calls for the Police, Fire and Medical Services. Offering a unique insight into being the first line of contact for emergency situations and the management of the service reponse.

John's area of expertise surrounds rape and serious sexual assault including "Cold Case" enquiries. He was the partnership lead for the MPS Sexual Investigations Continuous Improvement Team. John was also a member of seven Local Safeguarding Children Board’s and the executive member in three of these groups.

Lewis is currently serving in the Pacific Region. He previously worked with Nottinghamshire Police and gained experience in many facets of policing. He is trained in firearms, ports policing and intelligence and is considered an expert on ports intelligence and the people groups of Europe and how they can impact in the Pacific Region. Lewis is a published author of several crime novels.

Aled is an SIO and a Strategic Firearms Commander. He was responsible for all uniform assets including response, neighbourhood and roads policing. He was the Senior Identification Manager working with the FCO and UK disaster victim identification, relating to an International air crash.

Simon has vast experience within the MPS in Criminal Investigation. He has 15 years of FLO experience working within the most sensitive of investigations. His particular specialism lay in child homicide investigation, Category ‘A’  Homicide investigations and Road Death investigations.

Adrian served with the MPS for 17 years. As a Forensic Collision Investigator he attended the scenes of fatal and life threatening collisions, preserving evidence and presenting his findings at Coroner’s, Magistrates’ and the Crown Court. Miles was the Family Liaison Coordinator for many recent high profile terrorists attacks as well as The Tsunami. He is recognised as an expert in dealing with the death of UK nationals abroad. Miles was also The National Coordinator  for The National Prisons Unit with an in depth knowledge of Policing within the Prisons Estate.

Richard has had a colourful career having served with the RMP as a Close Protection operative, Cleveland Police as a CHIS (Informant) handler and with SOCA (now the NCA) as a surveillance officer. During his service Richard dealt with national and international organised crime networks and is an experienced suspect interviewer.

Tim is a serving Armed Firearms Officer (AFO) with Devon & Cornwall Police. He has been a police officer for 15 years and has invaluable experience from dealing with emergency calls as a single crewed response officer covering a vast rural area. Tim can offer the writer current firearms operational procedural advice.

Phil has over 35 years’ service in both the Military and Civilian Police.  His specialization is in complex international fraud and corruption. Tracey's expertise is as a Scenes Of Crime Officer having worked for the MPS on general casework and as part of the forensic team who dealt with both the Marchioness and Alpha Piper disasters. Tracey worked within SO4 learning all aspects of fingerprints allowing her to give expert evidence in this field at criminal and civil courts.

Richard served as a Detective Crime Scene Investigator and Crime Scene Manager / Coordinator. He was responsible for planning and overseeing the examination of well over 5000 major crime-scenes. Richard is currently a full-time lecturer in Forensic Science with the University of South Wales.

Greg is an accredited Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) with experience of leading major crime investigations including covert investigations and undertaking 'cold case reviews' into historic allegations of a serious nature. He is also a nationally trained SIO with regards to the investigation of Kidnap and Extortion offences.

Rachael served for a number of years with the Civil Nuclear Constabulary as an Authorised Firearms Officer being trained in the use of assault rifles and handguns including tasers.  Since leaving the police Rachael has gained University academic qualifications and worked with recently released high risk child sex offenders.

Steve spent 30 years with the Metropolitan Police, with over half his career as a Scotland Yard detective, investigating murder, terrorism and rape. He spent the last 12 years as a murder detective, before retiring at the rank of detective inspector. He is also the author of the best-selling book Murder Investigation Team: How Scotland Yard Really Catches Killers.
